MODULAR UNITS FOR HFC-227ea FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS

HFC-227ea is a clean gaseous agent which leaves no residue and is of proven efficiency when used on Class A, B and C fires. Manufactured in accordance with BS 5045: Part 2, the HFC-227ea cylinders offered can provide relatively low cost automatic fire protection when compared with central bank systems and are especially useful for areas where fire may not be detected quickly, and where machinery or other equipment may be located.

• Relative light weight allows wall or ceiling mounted, and does not create

HFC-227ea is invaluable when protecting important documents, expensive machinery and electronic equipment. Recommended for occupied areas where system discharge can be effected prior to evacuation of personnel.

Units supplied in sizes ranging from 1 kg to 53 kg.

Modes of operation available: Electrical, Electro / Mechanical, Mechanical, Automatic (Sprinker bulb) and Auto / Mechanical.

Cylinders from 7 kg capacity upwards manufactured to BS5045: Part 2, Class 1A. Others to BS5423, 1977.

All cylinders fitted with bursting disc. Rating relative to cylinder used.

Units up to 27 kg supplied with strong mounting bracket to facilitate vertical or horizontal mounting. Units from 28 kg to 53 kg supplied with cylinder and pipework bracket for floor mounting.

Pressure gauge fitted as standard on all units.

Pressure switch available on request.

ELECTRICAL UNITS

All units are supplied with latching plug in lead, 2 metres long. Power source required to operating each unit is 1 amp, for 10 milliseconds – where up to 4 units required to operate simultaneously they should be wired in series. More than 4 units should be in a series of 4 with parallel supply.

MECHANICAL UNITS

All units supplied with 2 metre long operating cable. Other sizes available on request. These units are particularly useful where electrical wiring causes a problem.

AUTOMATIC UNITS

All units supplied with a sprinkler bulb operative at a temperature of 68ºC (155ºF) as standard. Other ratings of available on request.
